Hot aerosol fire extinguishing device engineering calculation
1. The installation, acceptance, and maintenance of hot aerosol fire extinguishing devices are the responsibility of company trained professionals or local fire engineering companies.
2. The engineering design, installation and acceptance of the fire extinguishing device protection zone conforms to the national standard GB50370-2005 preheating and fire extinguishing system specification. The amount of fire extinguishing agent should be determined according to the volume of the combustible material and the protection zone in the protection zone. The calculation formula of fire extinguishing agent dosage: W= C2*kv* V
In the formula: W—design amount of fire extinguishing agent (kg);
C2 - fire extinguishing agent design density (kg/m3);
V—volume of protection area (m3);
Kv—volume correction factor. V<500 m3, Kv=1.0; 500≤V<1000 m3, Kv=1.1; V≥1000 m3, Kv=1.2.
(1) The electrical equipment fire in communication rooms, computer rooms and other places, the design density of S-type thermal aerosol fire extinguishing: ≥130g/m3.
(2) Cable tunnel (sandwich/well) and self-provided generator room fire, S-type hot aerosol fire extinguishing design density: ≥140g/m3.
(3) The fire-extinguishing density of the S-type hot aerosol to extinguish solid surface fire is 100g/m3.
In the communications room, computer room and other protective areas, the extinguishing agent spray time should not exceed 90S, the nozzle temperature should not exceed 150oC; in other protective areas, the spray time should not exceed 120S, the nozzle temperature should not exceed 180oC.
The fire extinguishing density of 2.5S hot aerosols on other combustibles should be determined experimentally.

When the fire extinguishing device and the fire alarm system and other fire control systems are networked, they shall also comply with the provisions of GB50166 “Code for the Construction and Acceptance of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems”.
The design requirements for the S-type hot aerosol fire extinguishing device shall be divided into fixed closed spaces for the system protection zone, and m3 shall be taken as the calculation unit;
1.1 When there are more than one type of prefabricated type S hot aerosol fire extinguishing devices in the same protective area, they must be able to start at the same time, and the time difference of the response of the operation should not be greater than 2S;
1.2 The protection volume of a single hot aerosol prefabricated fire extinguishing system device should not be greater than 160m3; when multiple devices are installed, the distance between them should not exceed 10m;
1.3 When prefabricated fire extinguishing systems are used, the area of ​​a protected area should not be greater than 500m2, and the volume should not be greater than 1600m3;
1.4 The net height of the protection zone should not be more than 6m. If it exceeds this value, wall-hanging, suspended ceiling should be set up to compensate for the release point;
1.5 The allowable pressure of the doors, windows and protective components of the protection zone shall not be less than 1.2kpa, the fire-resistance limit shall not be less than 0.5h, and the fire-resistance limit of suspended ceilings and windows shall not be less than 0.25h.
