In recent years, with the rapid development of China's economy, the consumption of tungsten concentrate has increased dramatically. According to statistics, last year China imported 10,131 tons of tungsten concentrate, an increase of 9%. The traditional tungsten concentrate chemical analysis method has complicated operation steps, long detection period, and various methods are relatively independent. Only a single element analysis can be performed, and multi-element simultaneous analysis cannot be realized, which seriously affects cargo customs clearance, trade settlement and production schedule.
The research on the simultaneous and rapid detection of tungsten and harmful impurity elements in tungsten concentrates, which was reported by Lai Wei of Xiamen Academy of Sciences, was approved in 2007 and successfully established a glass-dispersive wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. The method can measure 14 components such as WO3, Mn, Fe and CaO in tungsten concentrate at one time. The detection limits, precision and accuracy of the method can meet the needs of daily analysis. The detection period of each sample is within half an hour.
It is reported that X-ray fluorescence spectrometer is widely used in the analysis of various mineral products, but there are few reports on the simultaneous determination of primary and secondary elements in tungsten concentrates, mainly because of the high melting temperature of tungsten concentrate samples, complex matrix effects, and standards. The sample is not easy to obtain and other reasons. The Laiyan team used sodium tetraborate and lithium tetraborate mixed flux to prepare samples, which solved this problem in one fell swoop. As long as it is melted at 1150 ° C for 5 minutes, a uniform, stable and transparent sample piece can be prepared, and the calibration standard is manually prepared with high-purity substance, which solves the problem that the standard sample is not easily obtained.
At the same time, the new subject also uses the variable theory α-impact coefficient method to correct the matrix effect, effectively solving the matrix effect interference caused by the mismatch between the actual sample and the calibration sample matrix, and the correction effect is good. The background correction is performed by the common background method, which effectively eliminates the background interference of the elements, reduces the detection limit of the method, and greatly saves the measurement time of the background and improves the analysis efficiency.
