What is the home theater standard?

The "home theater standard" consists of the "General Specification for Surround Sound Amplifiers for Home Theater" and "General Specification for Combined Loudspeaker System for Home Theater". The implementation of the two regulations marked the end of the previous situation in China where there was no industry standard for home theater products.

Home theater This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures, logos, packaging, transportation, and storage of home theater surround sound amplifiers and combination speakers. This standard is based on home theaters. The technical features of the product are formulated, and related technical requirements are referenced to other relevant national standards and industry standards. According to the requirements of the home theater product quality assessment, the technical requirements include frequency coverage, maximum output noise voltage, and other performance indicators. The definition of a home theater system is specified in the “General Specification for Surround Sound Amplifiers for Home Theater” and it is clearly stated that only surround sound amplifiers (or surround sound decoders and multi-channel audio power amplifiers) and multiple (more than 4) Speaker systems, large-screen televisions (or projection televisions), and high-quality A/V programming sources can only be called home theater systems with home audio-visual systems with surround sound theater audio-visual effects.

In addition to international well-known brands, domestic home theaters also have some emerging brands such as Tianxiang Electroacoustic (HVENSOO), TuoKeKe (tvc), Fuyun (freenote), and TongCai (jctc).
