In vitro microbial treatment: a new technology to improve the utilization rate of cattle and sheep feed
At present, an effective and practical method for improving the utilization of roughage of ruminant livestock is ammoniated roughage. However, a compound bacteria that is commercially called "starfish micro-storage king" is increasingly being used in roughage processing in China. The principle is to use microbial fermentation in vitro to treat roughage (ie, micro-storage) to improve the utilization of roughage by ruminant livestock. The nutritive effects of micro-storage dry seedlings on the treatment of roughage on animals are summarized below. 1 micro- The method of roughage micro-storage is similar to the ammoniation method. First, dissolve 3 grams of live bacteria in 200 ml of water in 1 ton of roughage for 1-2 hours, then dilute to 1200-1400 liters with 0.8% -l % saline and spray evenly on the chopped roughage. 1-3 kg of wheat bran or corn flour can be added to 1 ton of roughage to aid in fermentation. After the roughage is processed, it is sealed at a temperature above 10 °C for 21-30 days. Fermented feed can be fed directly to livestock. The counts of cellulose-degrading bacteria and the changes of cellulase activity in micro-storage wheat straw during in vitro alcohol production are shown in Table 1.
