Development of Accurate and Rapid Analysis Method for Pure Aluminum Electrolyte in Pure Fluoride System

Recently, the China Non-Ferrous Metals Association held a meeting in Guiyang to organize the results appraisal meeting for the “Development of Accurate and Rapid Analytical Methods for Pure Fluoride System of Pure Fluoride System†completed by Guizhou Branch of China Aluminum Corporation. The appraisal committee carefully listened to the research report of the research group and conducted an on-site examination. After questioning and discussion, experts believe that the project combines the actual production of refined aluminum electrolysis, and the first study established an X-fluorescence spectrometry method for analyzing aluminum, sodium, calcium and strontium in the pure aluminum electrolyte of pure fluorine system. After the census, collection, screening, particle size experiments, sample preparation, homogeneity experiments, chemical determination and other steps, eliminating the matrix effect, developed a set of standard samples of refined aluminum electrolyte internal control. Through the testing of actual samples, comparative experiments with corresponding traditional analytical methods were completed. The analytical method has low detection limit, high precision, simple operation, fast analysis speed, and low cost. Technology has reached the international advanced level. At the same time, experts suggest that research should be conducted starting from the internal phase structure of the refined aluminum electrolyte to further strengthen the research work of the refined aluminum electrolyte X-ray fluorescence spectrometry in order to achieve the fine aluminum of two different media of pure fluorine and fluorine-chlorine systems. The unified analysis method of the electrolyte system lays the foundation for unifying industry analysis standards and even national standards.
