China Energy Newsletter Minmetals Resources (01208) issued a mid-year report. As of June 30, 2010, the company's total operating revenue was HK$5,403 million, an increase of 153% year-on-year; net profit was HK$424 million, an increase of 37% year-on-year. The company said it did not pay interim dividends.

According to the announcement, during the reporting period, the Group's alumina and aluminum ingot trading business significantly improved its performance. Thanks to China's stimulus measures, the demand for major domestic aluminum consumption industries has increased, and the average aluminum price has increased significantly compared to the same period of last year. This has resulted in a larger increase in sales of alumina and aluminum ingots of Minmetals.
