Common defects in heat treatment of trolley furnaces: corrosion

Common defects during the heat treatment process of the trolley furnace (quenching and tempering): Causes of corrosion:
1. Salt bath contains too much impurities such as Na2SO4, HCl, etc.
2. Nitrate is mixed in the salt bath to decompose atomic oxygen and produce a pitting effect with the tool
3. Salt bath surface with corrosive media
4. Oxidation in the air
5. Quenching residual salt is not removed or residual salt deliquescence
6. Salt bath deoxygenation is not complete
7. Pickling time is too long or the pickle ear is too warm to hear the temperature is too high This defect prevents:
1. Strictly control the purity of acids used in quenching and tempering heating salts and pickling solutions to prevent impurities from mixing
2. Tool cleaning should be clean and can also be sandblasted
3. Diligence correction residue
4. Nitrate bath can add 2% to 4% of KOH
The defect treatment method:
1. Corrosion slight tool pits can be ground
2. Non-working part corrosion, can be treated as defective
3. Toothed cutters are corroded at the teeth and are generally treated as waste.
