The axial load capacity of the bearing is mostly determined by the contact angle α; the larger the angle α, the higher the axial load capacity. 1. The installation of tapered roller bearings must be carried out under dry and clean environmental conditions. Care should be taken to check the mating surfaces of the shaft and the housing, the end faces of the shoulders, the grooves and the joining surface before installation. All mating joint surfaces must be carefully cleaned and burred removed, and the unformed surface of the casting must be cleaned of sand.
2. The tapered roller bearing should be cleaned with gasoline or kerosene before installation. It should be used after drying and ensure good lubrication. The bearings are generally greased and oil lubricated. When using grease lubrication, greases with superior properties such as no impurities, anti-oxidation, rust, and extreme pressure should be used. The grease filling amount is 30%-60% of the bearing and bearing housing volume, and should not be excessive. The double row tapered roller bearing and the pump shaft bearing with sealing structure are filled with grease, which can be used directly by the user and can not be cleaned.
3. When installing the tapered roller bearing, it is necessary to apply equal pressure on the circumference of the end face of the ferrule to press the ferrule. Do not directly hit the bearing end face with tools such as hoes to avoid damage to the bearing. In the case of a small interference, the end face of the bearing ring can be pressed with a sleeve at normal temperature, the sleeve is tapped with a hammer, and the ring is evenly pressed through the sleeve. If installed in large quantities, a hydraulic press can be used. When pressing in, ensure that the end face of the outer ring and the shoulder end face of the outer casing, the end face of the inner ring and the end face of the shoulder of the shaft are pressed tightly, and no gap is allowed.
4. When the interference is large, it can be installed by oil bath heating or inductor heating bearing method. The heating temperature range is 80°C-100°C, and the maximum temperature cannot exceed 120°C. At the same time, the bearing is tightened by a nut or other suitable method to prevent the bearing from shrinking in the width direction after cooling and creating a gap between the ferrule and the shoulder.
5. The installation of single row tapered roller bearings should be adjusted at the end. The clearance value should be determined according to the different working conditions and the amount of interference. If necessary, it should be determined experimentally. Double row tapered roller bearings and pump shaft bearings have been adjusted for clearance at the factory and do not need to be adjusted during installation.
6. After the bearing is installed, the rotation test should be carried out. Firstly, it should be used for rotating shaft or bearing box. If there is no abnormality, it will run without load and low speed with power, then gradually increase the rotation speed and load according to the operation condition, and detect noise and vibration. Temperature rise, abnormality found, should stop running and check. It can be delivered after the operation test is normal.
When the disassembled bearing of the tapered roller bearing is removed and it is intended to continue to be used, the appropriate disassembly tool should be used. To remove the ferrule of the interference fit, only the pulling force can be applied to the ferrule, and the disassembly force is never allowed to pass through the rolling element, otherwise the rolling body and the raceway will be crushed.
The use environment of the tapered roller bearing depends on the location of use, the conditions of use and the environmental conditions to select the size and accuracy. Matching the appropriate bearing is the prerequisite for ensuring the life and feasibility of the bearing.
