The walnut tree is strong, adaptable, less pests and diseases, management and labor saving, convenient storage and transportation of fruit and long life.
Walnut trees are warm, hi-light, and have strict requirements on water, especially in the growth period of new shoots and fruit development period. They need more water supply, and should be grown on sandy loam with loose structure and good water permeability.
The growth cycle of walnut is divided into germination stage, leaf extension stage, flowering stage, fruit hard core stage and fruit ripening stage.
The fertilization of walnut is divided into base fertilizer and top dressing: 1. Base fertilizer: The base fertilizer should be used as early as possible. It should be completed before harvesting and harvested. Each adult tree is applied with 100~200 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer. 2. Topdressing: The appropriate period for topdressing is three periods: before flowering, young fruit expansion and fruit hard core. Generally, each plant will apply 0.8-1 kg of “Tianji†brand nitrophosphate fertilizer. 3. Foliar spray fertilizer: the spraying period is carried out in the flowering stage, the new shoot speed, the flower bud differentiation period and the harvesting.
