In engineering design, we often encounter some difficult engineering problems: how to balance the calculation conditions by controlling the total result and total value. Such a statement is not easy to understand. For a simple example: a conical concrete cylindrical pier, the engineering design should reach a weight of 500 tons. Suppose we do not know the height, the taper and the diameter of the top surface of the top surface can be precisely controlled to 500 tons. When encountering such a similar scenario, our direct approach is to first calculate the volume of the entire sink. However, in this project, you can see that the entire sink is not a regular geometry. To get the volume of the sink through forward calculation, the difficulty is quite large.

1. First create a geometric model of the sink according to the requirements of the topic. It should be noted here that all sketches must be fully constrained and all geometric parameters can only be unique values. As shown below:

2. When creating an intermediate cavity, create it by creating a new geometry and copy it. One is used as a trimmed body and one is used as a water model for loading. As shown below:

3. Dig the cavity by Boolean operation.
4. Create a variable, named X, and take a value of 15. Then create a datum plane with an offset of X from the top surface of the sink. Use this datum plane to trim the other body copied, and get the model shown below.

5. Use the query quality attribute to query the water volume and save the variable attributes.

6. Tools - Design Optimizer Features. Load the X and water volume variables into the design optimizer separately as shown below.

7. Constantly click on the operation button in the design optimizer to know that the target value is close to the value required by the design. Now look at the value of the X variable. This is the X value required in the title.
