The reporter learned from the University of Science and Technology of China that the research team of Professor Liu Bo of the school used a two-dimensional layered material to develop a chiral separation membrane that can "grasp" the left-handed chiral molecules and "leave" the right-handed chiral molecules to separate. Chiral separation membranes are currently a solution that has high hopes. According to reports, this separation membrane shows very obvious selectivity for different chiral enantiomers. It can efficiently separate d-limonene and retain most of the l-limonene. If further pressure is applied to the entire system, the separation efficiency can also be greatly improved in terms of timeliness, which can be used to achieve the efficient separation of enantiomers, thereby giving the two-dimensional material separation membrane a broader application prospect.
