LED display scanning mode definition: the ratio of the number of rows lit at the same time to the number of rows in the entire area in a certain display area.

Indoor single color: generally 1/16 scan,

Outdoor full color: generally static scanning.

For example, a commonly used full-color module pixel is 168 (2r1g1b). If driven by mbi5026, the total number of LEDs used by the module is: 168*(2+1+1)=512, and mbi5026 is a 16-bit chip. 512/16=32

The virtual pixel is a software algorithm that controls the LED of each color to finally participate in the imaging of a plurality of adjacent pixels, so that a larger resolution can be achieved with fewer lamps, and the display resolution can be quadrupled.

As the brightness of LED electronic displays continues to increase and the size becomes smaller, more LED electronic displays will enter the room. However, the increase in LED brightness and pixel density has brought new and higher requirements to the control and driving of the LED screen. As far as the general indoor screen is concerned, the general control method now adopts the rank and sub-control mode, which is commonly called the scan mode. At present, the drive mode of the LED electronic display screen has two types: static scan and dynamic scan. For static real pixels and static virtual, dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic real image and dynamic virtual; in the LED electronic display, the ratio of the number of rows lit at the same time to the number of rows in the entire region is called the scanning mode. The scan is also divided into 1/2 sweep, 1/4 sweep, 1/8 sweep, 1/16 sweep and other driving methods. 1. Dynamic scanning: Dynamic scanning is to perform “point-to-column” control from the output of the driver IC to the pixel. Dynamic scanning requires a control circuit, and the cost is lower than static scanning, but the display effect is poor, and the brightness loss is large. .

2, static scanning: static scanning is from the output of the driver IC to the pixel point to implement "point-to-point" control, static scanning does not require control circuitry, the cost is higher than dynamic scanning, but the display effect is good, stability, brightness loss Smaller and so on.

Second, the LED electronic display 1/4 scan mode works:

It is the time that each line of power supply V1-V4 is turned on by 1/4 according to the control requirement in one frame of image. This has the advantage of making more efficient use of the display characteristics of the LEDs and reducing hardware costs. The disadvantage is that in one frame of image, each row of LEDs can only display 1/4 of the time.

Third, according to the LED electronic display type scanning method classification:

1. Scanning mode of indoor full-color LED electronic display: P4 and P5 are constant current 1/16, P6 and P7.62 are constant current 1/8.
